Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread fame in the early 21st century. Swift was a fan of music since a young age. Swift quickly rose up the ranks, beginning with roles in children's theater and eventually singing before a large crowd. Swift was eleven years old when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. The following year, she began writing songs and took up guitar. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of being a tween and feeling alienated. When she was 13 Swift's parents sold their property in Pennsylvania and moved into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could concentrate more time to courting country labels near Nashville.
